Robin Hill Country Park is a perfect place to investigate various aspects of leisure and tourism as featured in the case studies / investigations that form part of the various exam boards’ specifications for GCSE and BTEC Nationals. Situated in a central and rural location, there are multiple opportunities for research here (as well as in combination with Robin Hill’s sister theme park Blackgang Chine) on the Isle of Wight. This is an information sheet that highlights the opportunities available.
This information resource is for key stage 4 students who are studying Leisure and Tourism GCSE for any of the following boards: AQA,
OCR, Edexcel, CCEA or WJEC, and those studying Travel & Tourism in Scotland for the national qualifications.
The resource is a brief introduction to the opportunities for students at the Robin Hill Country Park.
By prior arrangement, students are able to visit the park to study
and investigate all aspects of a tourist attraction and how it operates as a business. There are opportunities to understand how the local attractions interlink with the Isle of Wight’s tourism industry and what impact they have on the community.
