Resource Title
"Describing Ferry Motion: Speed, Distance and Time"
This resource is part of a collection with the following variants:

107051 - KS3 Low Ability

107052 - KS3 High Ability [THIS DOCUMENT]

Précis

Students will cover the relationship between speed, distance and time and will rearrange equations. The higher resource will also encourage students to think about acceleration. This knowledge will be used to plot distance –time graphs and lead into conversion of measurements.

Contextual Summary

This resource is for students in key stage 3. It relates to the science – ‘Motions’ part of the curriculum. Students will be using formula for speed / distance/time and plotting graphs

Key Skills Practised
  • Independent work
  • Observation skills
  • Numeracy skills
  • Use of formulae, conversion of units and graph plotting skills
