This is an English writing composition task that enables students to practise their writing skills, specifically to write in the style of another text.

Contextual Summary


The task links to the students’ visit to the Isle of Wight Steam Railway and is relevant to students in key stages 2 and 3. This task links the visit with core English writing skills and allows students the opportunity to look at peripheral texts that link to the history of the railways.
