Education Destination Ltd. is an Isle of Wight based tour operator specialising in the provision of bespoke, curriculum-relevant school trips to our Island.
We offer schools a wide selection of pre-prepared teaching resources and activities that relate directly to visits to venues and locations around the Isle of Wight. We also assist schools with planning transport and accommodation.
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) defines “personal information” and “sensitive personal information” and we have assessed our processes and procedures to ensure that we comply with the Regulation.
In the normal running of our website we may collect and process the following information:
"Cookies" are tiny text files which are stored on your computer or device. They are used, for example, to remember options that you have taken when browsing the site to save re-entering data multiple times.
They do not contain any personal information and are automatically removed after a period of time.
Without cookies our website that we consider to be strictly necessarty, our website will not function efficiently, however it will still be possible to operate it to a certain degree.
We do not serve third-party ("non-essential") cookies via our website.
We use the information that we collect from you to be able to provide our services to you.
Some of the services we offer are provided by third parties, for example travel, accommodation and entry to visitor attractions. By providing your details you authorise the sharing of these only where strictly necessary with our trusted partners for the purpose of facilitating your visit. All such details will be securely deleted immediately following the visit or cancellation of the visit.
You have the right to request details of the personal information that we hold about you. You can requet this at any time by writing to email@example.com. Please allow 5 working days for your request to be actioned. Please be aware that the information we hold is limited to that identified earlier in this document.
You have a "right to be forgotten". This means that you may ask us at any time by writing to firstname.lastname@example.org to erase all personal information that we hold about you. If you do this and you have a visit pending, and unless we jointly agree to hand over ownership of said visit to a third party, we will treat this request as cancellation of said visit in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of Booking which applied at the time of confirmation. Please allow 5 working days for your request to be actioned.
